Fluorite and Calcite from Xiayang, Fujian, China
Dimension: 5.3cm x 5cm x 2.4cm
Locality: Xiayang, Yongchun County, Quanzhou Prefecture, Fujian Province, China
A superb Fluorite specimen associated with Calcite from this famous locale of Xiayang in Fujian, China. They have always been named as “Tanzanite” Fluorite due to its color resembling the Tanzanite’s blue. The Fluorite crystals are sharp cuboctahedra with good lustre, transparent to translucent with an amazing purple-blue color. The Fluorite on the left corner showcase second generation Fluorite on the top surface, interesting and beautiful. On a bed of sparkly Calcite, this is a very aesthetic display piece.
