Chrysocolla Pseudomorph Malachite from Star of the Congo Mine

Dimension: 6cm x 6cm x 3.9cm

Weight: 111g

Locality: L'Etoile du Congo Mine (Star of the Congo Mine; Kalukuluku Mine), Lubumbashi (Elizabethville), Southern area, Katanga Copper Crescent, Katanga (Shaba), Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaïre)

This gorgerous piece has beautiful, powder-blue Chrysocolla forming as a thin carpet in the few vugs with a moderate lustre, a fine specimen from the Star of the Congo Mine.  This excellent piece has nice aesthetics with the traces of starkly contrasting, sparkly, green Malachite on the fringe and on the underside.
