A well-balanced and beautiful Cavansite specimen from Wagholi Quarry, Pune District, India.  This specimen features a half sphere of vivid Sapphire-blue radiating crystals of Cavansite, perched upon sparkly greyish silver stilbite crystals.  The Cavansite crystal measures 1.8 cm across.  Some of the tiny Stilbite crystals have grown on the Cavansite sphere.  In great condition and it is way more beautiful in person than photos.
 
Wagholi Quarry produces the world's best cavansite and pentagonite specimens and due to expansion of localities around, mines in this area are almost on the verge of closing down.  Fine and undamaged specimen like this is very sort after as damages to the Cavansite has always occurred during mining process where explosives are used. 
 
Cavansite is one of the purest blue stones and are usually very small in size.  Color ranges from deep aquamarine blue to greenish blue.  These crystals can be found in India, New Zealand and Brazil.
