Stilbite on Basalt from Jalgaon District, Maharashtra, India

Dimension: 8cm x 5.1cm x 4.1cm

Weight: 49g

Locality: Savada, Dharangaon Taluka, Jalgaon District, Maharashtra, India

Radiating spray of pale peachy orange Stilbite crystals sits on a white basalt matrix from the Jalgaon District, Maharashtra, India.  A classic combination specimen from this basalt trapped quarry of India where the bowtie shaped Stilbite crystals clustered in the shape of flower, outstanding!  While Stilbite is rather common in general, the almost completely floating Stilbite aggregate gives this specimen added interest to the already great composition of this aesthetic and sculptural piece!
