Collector’s Piece: Fluorescent Sphalerite with Dolomite and Chalcopyrite, China

Fluorescent Sphalerite is considered rare mineral and in the photograph above, taken under long wave UV (365nm), the Sphalerite shows a strong bright gold fluorescence, very impressive!  Mined in April 2021 from the Dongxiang Co. of China, the specimen is composed of intergrown blocky, splendid crystals of Sphalerite which display vitreous luster and metallic black color.  Brassy gold Chalcopyrite tetrahedral twins and pearly white crystals of Dolomite aesthetically perched on the Sphalerite cluster, magnifying the contrasting impression, so stunning!  It is way more shinny, reflective and pretty in person than photos.  Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
