Locality: Wushan Spessartine Mine, Tongbei, Yunxiao Co., Zhangzhou Prefecture, Fujian Province, China

A very 3-dimentional oustanding specimen from the famous Wushan Mine druse with Spheroidal aggregates of very well defined Trapezohedral Spessartine Garnet crystals, two of the garnet crystals stand out from the Feldspar matrix almost grown to a complete sphere shape.  The very sparkly garnets are between translucent and transparent, gemmy and have a very intense and uniform intense reddish-orange color.

The first specimens of Chinese garnet associated with smoky quartz and feldspar appeared on the market in 1998. After many years of plentiful specimens, this locality has pretty much been depleted and had been shut down by the Chinese government many years ago. World-class specimens from this locality are now one of the most sort after pieces in the world.
