This is an outstanding Red Hematite Quartz specimen representative of the species and the locale. Excavated from the renowned Dongxiang Co. of China in 2020, the very saturated red color of the Quartz caused by red Hematite tinting and inclusions is very eye catching and impressive. Some very brilliant Tetrahedrite crystals with the surfaces covered in red-colored Heamatite and brassy gold micro crystals of Chalcopyrite, fascinating!  The Tetrahedrite crystals display irregular tetrahedral twinning, they are very well-formed and distinct.  Sphalerite crystals are observed under longwave UV lighting 365nm which display a bright gold fluorescence.  The specimen will be aesthetically set in a high quality acrylic display box.
