This is RAREST specimen of all Cavansite with cluster of Pentagonite grown over the two distinguish Cavansite crystals and surrounding portion. To get this combination in a single specimen is extremely rare. Pentagonite was first described in 1973 for an occurrence in Lake Owyhee State Park, Malheur County, Oregon. It is a rare silicate mineral and was named for the unusual twinning which produces an apparent five-fold symmetry. It is a dimorph of Cavansite.
Due to expansion of localities around, mines are almost on the verge of closing down. Fine and undamaged specimen from Wagholi Quarry like this is piece is very rare in the market.
Cavansite is one of the purest blue stones and are usually very small in size. Color ranges from deep aquamarine blue to greenish blue. These crystals are found in India, New Zealand and Brazil.
