Rare Find: Cuboctahedral Fluorite Crystals on Sparkling Quartz Matrix Specimen,

Dimension: 13.5cm x 9cm x 6.5cm

Weight: 792g

Origin: Dingjiashan Pb-Zn-(Ag) deposit, Youxi Co., Sanming Prefect., Fujian Prov., China

An exceptional combination from this rare and limited 2015 find at this obscure Chinese deposit.

Perched aesthetically on a druzy, sparkling pedestal of quartz matrix, are mutiple complex Cuboctahedral Fluorite Crystals with the biggest fluorite measuring 4 cm x 4 cm.  The lustrous and translucent crystals have a light grass-green colour and also exhibits fine, clear stepped growth.  It is, in person, both much more 3-dimensional and much more gemmy than the flat photo makes it appear, and is quite dramatic.

An impressive display piece for your home or office.  Striking and beautiful!

Fluorite's Maintenance Advice:

Fluorite is extremely susceptible to sunlight, some colours fade slower than others, but they all fade under sunlight. The effect also happens under normal halogen light.  Therefore keep Fluorite in a darker part of the home, away from direct sunlight unless it needs to be cleansed and charged.  To cleanse and charge Fluorite, just pop it on a windowsill out of direct sunlight or even on a cloudy day for 10 minutes. If it doesn't feel like that is enough, you can use reiki or sound too.
