Dimension: 12cm x 8.3cm x 3.6cm

Locality: Fengjiashan Mine (Daye Copper mine), Edong Mining District, Daye County, Huangshi Prefecture, Hubei Province, China

This is an important, large Pyrite specimen from the world-renowned Daye Copper Mine featuring a gigantic sphere of highly lustrous, brassy intergrown Pyrite crystals aesthetically perched onto a Dogtooth Calcite crystal matrix.  The Pyrite crystal is measuring 6.2cm x 5cm in size and has a shape which resemble an easter egg, magnificent!!  It is basically the rarest and most impressive display Pyrite specimen from this locale.  A very eye-catching specimen bought by my father in the early 1990s, this rare and sculptural Pyrite specimen is for sure a winning display piece!
