Octahedral Stepped Phantom Fluorite on Quartz Matrix from Yiwu Mine

Deep purple and deep green octahedral fluorite on druzy yellow quartz crystals matrix.  The fluorite crystals show multiple and clear stepped faces with a striking finish at the top. 
 
The colour of the fluorite crystals is translucent blue-green-purple with a violet zoning along the edges. Very nice three-dimensional construction on the yellow matix!
 
This came out of a small pocket one-time find discovered nearby the Yiwu old mine in early 2019. The Yiwu mine had been in operation since the early 1990s and was closed years ago for environment protection and miner's safety issues. I am lucky enough to acquire some of the best pieces from this small pocket in my recent exploratory trip to China.
 
Fluorite's Maintenance Advice:
 
Fluorite is extremely susceptible to sunlight, some colours fade slower than others, but they all fade under sunlight. The effect also happens under normal halogen light. Therefore keep Fluorite in a darker part of the home, away from direct sunlight unless it needs to be cleansed and charged. To cleanse and charge Fluorite, just pop it on a windowsill out of direct sunlight or even on a cloudy day for 10 minutes. If it doesn't feel like that is enough, you can use reiki or sound too.
