Collector’s Piece: Quartz with Specularite and Muscovite from Inner Mongolia
Dimension: 12.5cm x 3cm x 2.4cm
Weight: 96g
Locality: Huanggang Mine, Keshiketeng Co, Chifeng Prefecture, Inner Mongolia, China
This is one of the nicest specimens ever excavated from the world renowned Huanggang Mine, Inner Mongolia, China. An old material mined in around 2012/2013, two gemmy Quartz crystal points exhibit water-clear quality rarely seen on Mongolian pieces, amazing! Isolated, well-formed Specularite iron roses aesthetically “studded” the Quartz in places. Associated with creamy yellow Muscovite crystals flaky in nature but interlinked to form as mounded aggregates, adding rarity and interest. The largest Quartz crystal measures 12.5cm across and is perfectly terminated! Probably the best preserved and most beautiful example of this species I have seen so far, the quality and peculiarity of the piece will certainly make a wonderful addition to any Chinese or worldwide Quartz collection. Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
