Iridescent Pyrite on Dolomite from Shangbao Mine, China

This is a gorgeous miniature specimen featuring a Dolomite matrix aesthetically “sprinkled” with a number of vitreous Pyrite crystals which display amazing rainbow iridescence, and it’s a complete floater.  Mined from a limited September 2020 find at the world class Shangbao Mine in China, the beauties of the piece are completely off the charts!  I've been lucky to be able to acquire around 15 pieces of the best.  The rainbow iridescent colors on the Pyrite are insanely vivid, ranging from very bright vivid lemon-gold to blue, red and pink, so eye-catching and mesmerizing!  The piece will be beautifully set in a high quality acrylic case made for displaying specimens.
