This is an old time materials acquired by my father in around 2000. Striking, iridescent Chalcopyrite crystals almost completely covered the Calcite crystals grown underneath. They look like a plate of armor worn to protect the Calcite, so interesting! There is a good isolation between the Calcite crystals and the Chalcopyrite are highly crystalized. The iridescence is in a metallic color ranges from red, orange to yellow which is in lovely contrast to the white Calcite crystals! And the Calcite exhibit a medium red fluorescence under UV lighting 365nm. No more of this style have been found since, they are definitely rare and desirable. Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
