Ilvaite with Druzy Quartz from Huanggang Mine, Inner Mongolia
Dimension: 3.3cm x 1.7cm x 1.5cm
Locality: Huanggang Mine, Hexigten Banner (Keshiketeng Co.), Ulanhad League (Chifeng Prefecture), Inner Mongolia, China
Jet-black ilvaite with good luster mined in 2011 from the renowned Huanggang Mine, Inner Mongolia, China. A robust single terminated ilvaite crystal that is thicker than nearly all ilvaite from other localities I had seen before. The gorgeous metallic black color formed great contrast with the druzy Quartz grown on the surfaces of the ilvaite. This piece can be display 360-degree, so stunning! Comes with a high quality acrylic display box.
