A magnificent single spear of water-clear and gemmy Gypsum var. Selenite measuring 10.2cm in length!  A rare find excavated in early October 2021 at the famous Qinglong Mine, I had been lucky enough to have acquired two pieces from my miner’s friend during my business trip to China.  I cannot recall even seeing such a fine and large Gypsum crystal from anywhere in the country.  The combination of this fine specimen is rather unusual as it displays inward growing layers of diverging sprays, metallic Stibnite needles and patches of red Hematite inclusions, it is very one-of-a-kind indeed!  The phantoms are beautiful and dramatic.  The slightly curved composite blades at the tips of the sharp, angled terminations are a fascinating feature.  This is a fine variety of Selenite that is highly aesthetic and rare.
