A large cabinet specimen measuring 10.5cm x 10.4cm from a special January 2021 pocket at the famous Qinglong Mine of China.  On a plate of crystalline Quartz are aggregates of cubic Fluorite.  These are found intermittently throughout the year but good quality specimen graded pieces are very difficult to obtain, I only have a few to offer.  The sharp contrast and isolation make this notable and special, the Fluorite crystals are basically “floating” on the cream colored Quartz crystals matrix and they are exceedingly lustrous. It displays two generations growth whereas the deep purple center formed first, followed by a second layer of colorless Fluorite formation. It’s so nicely arranged and the rarity make this a true collectible specimen. As a bonus, the Fluorite exhibit a bright blue fluorescence under longwave UV lighting 365nm.  Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.

Fluorite's Maintenance Advice:

Fluorite is extremely susceptible to sunlight, some colors fade slower than others, but they all fade under sunlight. The effect also happens under normal halogen light. Therefore keep Fluorite in a darker part of the home and away from direct sunlight.
