A gorgeous Calcite specimen featuring one significant gem quality Dogtooth Calcite crystal resting on a matrix alongside with various small Dogtooth Calcite from the famous Daye Copper Mine.  The perfectly terminated crystals exhibit an attractive salmon-pink color due to Hematite inclusions and show a beautiful intense pink phantom in the center.  This belongs to my father's private collection bought in around 1975.  The specimen shows a beautiful orange-pink fluorescence under UV lighting (365nm), it is for sure a top quality world-class Dogtooth Calcite piece from this famous locale.
