Collector’s Piece: Veszelyite and Gibbsite on Matrix from Laochang Mine, China

Only a handful of these world’s best Veszelyite crystals were found in January 2021 from the Laochang Mine in Yunnan, China and vivid blue Veszelyite is a rare mineral only found in a few places worldwide.  The piece exhibits a shimmering layer of Veszelyite crystals coated the light tan matrix in places. Hundreds of short prismatic Veszelyite crystals have a wide array of colors ranging from deep sapphire blue, sky blue, teal blue to greenish blue, outstanding!  The colors are best shown on the photos. This is the last piece that I have to offer from the January 2021 small find.  Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
