From a special pocket mined in 2010 from the ACF Mine in Morocco which is noted for its thick, robust crystals of Vanadinite. This textbook example of multi-hued red Vanadinites is the epitome of gemmy and colorful minerals. The contrasting matrix is host to various stubby hexagonal Vanadinite crystals, which are partially hollow with a slightly hopper growth pattern. Flashes of striking internal gemminess that are pretty and desirable. The Vanadinite crystals display color zonation which is probably a secondary growth of the arsenian variety of Endlichite. The largest crystal is measuring 1.4cm across and a 0.8cm’s thickness, impressive! Some of the Vanadinites are covered by an oriented secondary growth of unknown minerals, adding real pizzazz to the piece. Comes with a high quality acrylic display box.
