A fantastic large cabinet-sized specimen featuring Spessartine Garnets in associated with a plate of prismatic Smoky Quartz crystal. This specimen features a continuous "carpet" of highly lustrous, trapezohedral Spessartine crystals with color ranged from yellowish-orange, cinnamon-orange to reddish-orange, it is extremely rare in terms of size and colors!!
The first specimens of Chinese garnet associated with smoky quartz and feldspar appeared on the market in 1998. After many years of plentiful specimens, this locality has pretty much been depleted and had been shut down by the Chinese government many years ago. World-class specimens from this locality are now one of the most sort after pieces in the world.
