Collector’s Piece: Pyrite and Chalcopyrite on Calcite psu. Quartz from China

The beauties of this are off the charts!  Set in a nest of fluorescent Calcite pseudomorph after Quartz are the cubic Pyrite crystals and iridescent Chalcopyrite.  The Pyrite cubes are dramatically striated with a striking brassy gold color and are exceedingly mirror-bright, gorgeous!  Groups of red Hematite included Quartz on the underneath of the white Calcite are hidden gems and can be observed from the back of the piece.  The white Calcite crystals are sharp and display a pink fluorescence under UV lighting 365nm.  The way the Calcite “crowned” the Quartz is exquisite and elegant, adding extra 3-dimentional effect and aesthetics, phenomenal!  This is an unusual and very rare combination excavated from the Dongxiang Co. in January 2021, so far only one piece of this species was found.  Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
