Collector's Piece: Native Copper from Keweenaw Co., Michigan, USA
Dimension: 5.8cm x 4.9cm x 4.8cm
Locality: Keweenaw Co., Michigan, USA
A bright and dramatic Native Copper specimen which displays mesmerizing arborescent, dendritic branching crystal structure. Acquired in around 1990 from the Keweenaw Peninsula, this fairly sharp, highly lustrous crystals of Copper are in the perfect rose-red / copper red color. The embedded brown matrix fragments are a very nice accent to this superb showy 360-degree display piece. I only have 22 pieces to offer as it was brought back from the US by my father back in the 1990’s, every single one of them is equally precious for me as they are classic, old-time, Michigan Copper Country material which should only be seen in auctions. A high quality acrylic display box is included in the price.
The Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan is a world renowned copper mining district famous for over 100 years for its history of highly productive copper mining and its finest quality of specimen graded Native Copper.
