Locality: Khanong open pit, Sepon Mine, Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Laos
A wow factor first seen at the 2018’s Tucson Gem & Mineral Show, this is a new combination to the mineral collecting world, unprecedented to collectors. The association of Geothite with Malachite creates a highly contrasting visual effect in terms of color and texture. The Goethite almost completely coated the globular Malachite on the display side, it is so chatoyant that has an incredible rainbow iridescence and metallic lustre. These extraordinary pieces started appearing on the Chinese mineral market in mid 2014, supplies are very limited and hard to obtain an example of nowadays! A perfect and outstanding example of the species and the locale, simply mesmerizing! Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand as pictured.
