Collector’s Piece: Gypsum var. Selenite coated Cave Calcite from Wenshan Mine

Acquired in March 2021, this beautiful specimen from the Wenshan Mine features hundreds of complex monoclinic tabular shaped Gypsum var. Selenite aesthetically coated a Cave Calcite Stalactite cluster.  The Selenite crystals of completely transparent quality which displays a light lavender purple color.  We’d see Gypsum specimens came out from this mine from time to time but of this perfect quality and shape are very rare.  My miner’s friend shown me 8 pieces but I only bought 2 pieces from him because the rest of the lot are heavily damaged, and this is the 2nd piece that I have to offer.  The underneath Cave Calcite Stalactite crystals are very 3-dimentional and sculptural, adding real pizzazz to the piece!  Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
