Collector's Piece: Goethite Coated Quartz with Calcite from Daye Copper Mine

A very rare example of sub-metallic Goethite partially coated and included in a Quartz crystal from the world-renowned Daye Copper Mine of China.  Displaying sharp colors and contrasts, the Quartz crystal, to 8.8cm in length, is naturally double-terminated (a complete floater!) and have dispersed and attractive brown Goethite staining and inclusion, outstanding!  The fluorescent flakes of Calcite add a very aesthetic accent to the piece.  Obtained from my miner’s friend in September 2020, this is a superbly balanced and eye-catching specimen.
