The aesthetics of this specimen are off the charts! An outstanding combination of lavender purple Fluorite and clear Quartz with just the right balance between them. The perfect Fluorite cubes "clinging" to the big Quartz crystal have sharp edges and corners, and are perfectly terminated to form in these complex yet stunning, slightly stepped aggregates. Both of the Fluorite and the Quartz are exceedingly lustrous and have excellent transparency. Traces of deep green micro-crystal of Epidote and creamy white Dolomite are also presented in the piece.
This mesmerizing piece was purchased by my father in around 2004-2005, and kept until now in his personal Yaogangxian minerals collection. This is by far one of the most beautiful Fluorite & Quartz Yaogangxian combo I've ever seen, it is way more beautiful in person than photos!
Fluorite's Maintenance Advice:
Fluorite is extremely susceptible to sunlight, some colours fade slower than others, but they all fade under sunlight. The effect also happens under normal halogen light. Therefore keep Fluorite in a darker part of the home, away from direct sunlight unless it needs to be cleansed and charged. To cleanse and charge Fluorite, just pop it on a windowsill out of direct sunlight or even on a cloudy day for 10 minutes. If it doesn't feel like that is enough, you can use reiki or sound too.
