An extremely rare and unique Calcite specimen featuring sharp, lustrous, bi-colored (white and brown-red) Calcite crystals "emerged" from a stalactitic Calcite from the world-class Daye Copper Mine of China. This belongs to my father's private collection bought in around 1975. The perfectly terminated crystals exhibit an attractive salmon-pink color due to Hematite inclusions and show a beautiful phantom at one end. Calcite of this kind are basically unseen in the minerals market as they are just too rare and only a few were ever found. The Calcite display a bright pinkish orange fluorescence under UV lighting (365nm)! This is a top quality Calcite specimen from this famous locale.
The price inclusive of a high quality acrylic display box.
