Collector's Piece: Calcite with Red Hematite from Daye Copper Mine, China

A mesmerizing Daye specimen featuring sparkly micro-crystals of Red Hematite aesthetically tinted the Dogtooth Calcite.  Excavated from a mini pocket at the Fengjianshan Mine (Daye Copper Mine) in March 2021, only a handful of these pretty pieces had been found.  The sharp red-colored, heavy dusting of Hematite crystals is stunningly attractive!  Cream colored Dolomite and green Chlorite crystals can be observed on the underside of the specimen.  This is a very colorful, choice cluster of Calcite that radiates like a starfish and truly something unique.  The Calcite crystals display a bright red fluorescence under UV lighting 365nm.  We have been talking to our miners many times since then, looking for more but they’re just gone and nothing like them has turned up since.  Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
