A striking, twinned Calcite crystal from an April 2020 small find at the famous Daye Copper Mine of China. This pristine, water-clear, hexagonal, poker chip Calcite crystal measuring 3cm across is so sharp and perfect that it looks like a cut gemstone! It literally "floats" on a bed of smaller Calcite crystals of great clarity which exhibit a peachy orange color due to Hematite inclusions, mesmerizing! The super-sharp faces and internal refractions within the poker chip Calcite is phenomenal. The Calcite displays a light orange red fluorescence under UV lighting (365 nm). China is producing a stunning variety of fine Calcite crystals of which those from the Daye Copper Mine are the finest representations. Comes with a high quality display stand made of pure copper and acrylic.
