Heavily crystalized, gem quality Barite occurs very rarely and this is a perfect example of the species and rarity.  Excavated in 2005 from a one-time small pocket discovered in the Xiefang Mine, Jiangxi, China, this is an impressive large specimen with dramatic honey-beer colored Barite crystals on contrasting matrix.  This magnificent piece can be displayed on both sides, prismatic Barite crystals shaped like slender prisms contrasting nicely with the colorful Fluorite matrix on the front side, and the back side of the piece displays densely packed “blanket” of lustrous Barite crystals.  The Fluorite crystals appear on both sides of the piece which exhibit an outstanding range of colors that are evident and dramatic.  Very minor contact on the Barite and a few tiny dings amidst the hundred Barite crystals on the back side, in no way diminishes the quality of the specimen.  This is our exclusive collection that you won’t see anywhere else, as we haven’t seen anything similar came out since then and they are never seen today.  Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
