A magnificent specimen of Azurite with Chrysocolla and Malachite pseudomorph from the Liufengshan Mine, Anhui, China. This gorgeous piece of art exhibits rare half spheres, swirls and twirls of Chrysocolla in beautiful colors - sky blue, royal blue and pastel blue. "Vugs" of deep royal blue, sparkly and highly crystalized Azurite add real pizzazz to the piece. With visually contrasting pastel green Chrysocolla pseudomorph after Malachite on the edges, what more could one ask for, it's utterly perfect! Comes with a high quality display stand made of pure copper and acrylic.
This is by far the most beautiful Azurite vein ever discovered at the Liufengshan Mine, we are not sure how many of these beautiful creatures could be found but I am acquiring as many as I could, the colors are insanely good and we have never seen something like this before. The good ones are very limited though, because of the harsh mining environment.
Liufengshan Mine is well-known for two types of Azurite – extremely crystallized Azurite of which the crystals are usually of a larger size and are thicker; Azurite with Chrysocolla and Malachite pseudomorph which shows a dazzling range of colors and a significantly bright blue Azurite.
