A really beautiful specimen of polished Chalcedony var. Jasper from Tuléar Province (Toliara), Madagascar.  The piece is essentially a nodule of cryptocrytalline Quartz that has been polished by hand to reveal its beautiful patterns and colors.  This is a collectible piece handpicked from a wholesale lot of around 100kg. 
 
One should know that the deposit of another type of Ocean Jasper from Marovato of Madagascar called "Orbicular Jasper" is reported to be depleted due to the great demand.  Our source of information indicates that Ocean Jasper of these species could be rapidly depleted soon.  I will be listing some of my handpicked pieces from time to time, of the best colors and patterns, they are just too beautiful not to share :D
