This is among the first batch of Calcite specimens excavated from the Daye Copper Mine in the early 1970s, you will not see something like this anymore. A collection of my father's large cabinet Calcite specimens, this spectacular piece is a complete floater! The doubly-terminated large Calcite with a milky white color is topped by a transparent, small Calcite of the same, mesmerizing! Micro-crystals of Chalcopyrite finely sprinkled on the surfaces in places, they are very sparkly and exhibit a beautiful iridescence. The Calcites display a medium pinkish-orange fluorescence under UV lighting (365 nm). Comes with a high quality display stand made of pure copper and acrylic.
