“Diamond” Calcite (Fluorescent) from Daye Copper Mine, China

An astonishing Calcite in a light yellow color from the world renowned Daye Copper Mine comprise this excellent piece.  This superb specimen, said to be one of the very best, from a small 2020 find, I have limited pieces to offer.  The Calcites exhibits diamond grade luster and a bright reddish orange fluorescence under UV lighting (365 nm).  The locals called this the Diamond Calcite as it resembles the diamond's clarity.  Calcite from this small deposit are always quickly sold in the mineral market and I am lucky enough to have acquired a small amount of the very best.  The rare and precious specimen can be displayed from a number of angles, outstanding!  The piece will be beautifully set in a high quality acrylic display box.
