A truly dazzling and really eye-catching large cabinet specimen featuring a full coverage of lustrous, compressed silvery / smoky colored Calcite scalenohedra which have a gorgeous selective deposition of sparkling, brassy gold Chalcopyrite on select corners and edges. Excavated in November 2020 at the world class Tonglushan Mine (Daye Copper Mine) in China, some of the heavily crystalized Chalcopyrite centered the Calcite like disc florets of sunflower, very interesting! As a bonus, the Calcite fluoresces a pink under longwave UV lighting 365nm. The quality and peculiarity of the piece make it a very desirable and unique display specimen that would make a wonderful addition to any Chinese or worldwide Calcite collection.
