Complex thick tabular crystal of Barite with an amber-yellow centre and a grey color outer zoning from the Xikuangshan Mine, Hunan, China.  Barite crystals which contain phantom growths like this piece is uncommon.  The unique pseudo-rhombohedral shape makes it really stand out from the usual Barite specimen.  Grown on a bed of druzy Quart crystals, it is very gemmy, highly reflective and lustrous, so beautiful!
