Azurite with Malachite Mineral Specimen from Liufengshan Mine, China
Dimension: 5.9cm x 5.1cm x 2.8cm
Locality: Liufengshan Mine, Guichi District, Chizhou, Anhui, China
Mesmerizing two-sided Azurite with Malachite specimen from the Liufengshan Mine, Anhui, China. The perfectly formed botryoidal Azurite "flowers" make this stand out dramatically from Azurite of other locales. They are highly crystalized and exceedingly sparkly resembling stars in the sky, so beautiful! A thick band of deep grass-green Malachite is embedded in the Azurite matrix, creating shockingly beautiful visual effect.
This is by far the most beautiful Azurite vein ever discovered at the Liufengshan Mine, we are not sure how many of these beautiful creatures could be found but I am acquiring as many as I could, the colors are insanely good and we have never seen something like this before. The good ones are very limited though, because of the harsh mining environment.
Liufengshan Mine is well-known for two types of Azurite – extremely crystallized Azurite of which the crystals are usually of a larger size and are thicker; Azurite with Chrysocolla and Malachite pseudomorph which shows a dazzling range of colors and a significantly bright blue Azurite.
A high quality display stand made of pure copper and acrylic as pictured is included in the price.
