This is a beautiful 3-sided Azurite specimen with Chrysocolla and Malachite pseudomorphs from Liufengshan Mine, Anhui, China. Turfs of Chrysocolla and Malachite in the attractive pastel green and rich sapphire blue colors grown alongside "patches" of Azurite. Each of the 3 sides has its unique colors and beauty. The sparkly and gemmy crystals of Azurite in a deep royal blue color adds reall pizzazz to the piece, colorful and mesmerizing!
Liufengshan Mine is well-known for two types of Azurite – extremely crystallized Azurite of which the crystals are usually of a larger size and are thicker; Azurite with Chrysocolla and Malachite pseudomorph which shows a dazzling range of colors and a significantly bright blue Azurite.
