This is a complete floater specimen that is so colorful, gorgeous and in perfect condition!  Countless of tiny Azurite crystals interlinked to form a thin crust pseudomorph over rounded balls of Chrysocolla, this natural layer-by-layer formation is so astonishing and beautiful.  Excavated from the Dongchuan Cu ore field from May to June 2021, these new combo specimens WOW the Chinese mineral collecting world.  This is actually a thin layer of Azurite over an earlier Chrysocolla pseudomorphed from an even earlier primary Quartz crystal, what a fantastic pseudomorph!  Although a variety of minerals have been found from this May-June 2021 limited find, these casts of Azurite after Chrysocolla have always been enchanting.  Obtained directly from the miner’s home on-site, this is not only a fine specimen but also an outstanding combination rarity of mineral history, from time and place.  The overall aesthetics of this stark and colorful specimen is excellent, and there are even some tiny deep brown Goethite crystals by way of accent, adding texture and complexity to the piece.  Comes with a high quality metal display stand.
